Sustainability + Adidas Brand: Alignment for Innovation

When the Adidas Global AIT (advanced innovation team) group were refining their overall strategic role in the company and their responsibility to innovate across all Adidas business units globally, they turned to Ci’s thinking on sustainability and brand for an inspiring big picture perspective and understanding of sustainability and sustainable design.

With a custom consumer research and cultural insight report on both the Adidas consumer’s relationship with sustainability and the sustainable design landscape from The SHIFT Report, Ci’s sustainability + brand model revealed where there was alignment between the Adidas brand, the priorities for the Global Advanced Innovation Team and Sustainability. This alignment revealed business opportunity and inspired the AIT team to see specific areas where sustainability was a tool to innovate for their Olympics initiatives, in line with both the overall Adidas brand and AIT’s mandate to innovate across the brand.
